Ronaldo gone + Glazers propose plans for Manchester United sale
Another busy day covering Manchester United.
A lot can happen in a day, eh?
Manchester United not only boiled away in the background on Tuesday, we dominated the headlines despite four matches taking place at the World Cup in Qatar.
One would have thought that with World Cup action taking priority for the next four weeks, I would have a nice break as someone who writes solely about Manchester United.
But no, that doesn’t happen at United.
The day started with the news that Cristiano Ronaldo had left the club after reaching a mutual agreement. In other words, his contract has been terminated. It was the only scenario; a sad end for someone who whether you like it or not, will always be an icon at United.
Right now, I feel his legacy is tarnished, but this is a player who previously described himself as a slave at United before leaving for Real Madrid in 2019. I’m not very surprised.
