Real Betis: Second leg preview, predicted XI, Erik ten Hag press conference
Manchester United take on Real Betis in the second leg of their last-16 clash in the Europa League. The Reds go into the game with a three-goal advantage after the first leg at Old Trafford last week.
This should be a walk in the park but I am also reminded that Manchester United never do things the easy way. Maybe that will change over time under Erik ten Hag?
The Reds defeated Real Betis 4-1 just six days ago. A return leg on Thursday night comes with questions as to whether Ten Hag should rotate the team. Injuries are hitting the squad as well as suspensions.
Of course, Real Betis have injury problems of their own. Their centre-back, Luiz Felipe, played the full 90 minutes at Old Trafford but he misses the second leg with a hamstring injury. Nabil Fakir is another absentee, as well as Juan Cruz.
We’ll be hoping United can get back to winning ways because there has been a drop off since the Carabao Cup triumph at Wembley against Newcastle.
