Good night for McTominay as Scotland earn vital win against Ukraine
A clean sheet, 90 minutes on the pitch and a win to see Scotland top of the group. 🏴
Scott McTominay played very well as Scotland went some way to compensating for their World Cup qualification shortcomings by beating Ukraine 3-0 to move top of Group B1.
Three months on from a deflating loss to Ukraine, Scotland were out for revenge and United midfielder McTominay played a key role in their win.
McTominay helped form part of Scotland’s patient possession game.
The midfielder’s performance was similar to what we’ve seen of him in a United shirt this season – composed in midfield and carried out his defensive work well.
Scotland’s next game is against the Republic of Ireland.
Hopefully McTominay’s form can continue because he is somehow keeping Casemiro out of the United team, and I am all for being proven wrong when it comes to our players.
He’s been excellent this season. Arguably our most improved player.
