Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag was asked about the potential takeover of the club.
It is believed that proposals to buy the club will be made today, with several reports stating that Qatari investors are leading the race to takeover from the Glazer family, with the Americans set to profit massively without clearing the debt on the club themselves.
Manchester United fans can expect investors from the United States, as well as the Middle East to join the race to buy the club. Mancunian businessman Sir Jim Ratcliffe is also expected to make an offer through his company INEOS.
The Glazers announced before the New Year that they would “explore strategic alternatives to enhance the club’s growth”, and it was always thought they would conduct a sale of the club as a result. There was whispers about it for at least six months before the announcement came, with reports of a split between the Glazer family when it came to the future of the football club.
