Casemiro to start vs Real Sociedad?
Dale thinks the Brazilian will get his first start for Manchester United on Thursday night in the Europa League.
There is nothing Casemiro can do about Scott McTominay’s form but use this time to settle into the English game. I think he will start against Real Sociedad as Erik ten Hag will look to give his new signing more minutes on the pitch, but the manager will be rotating most of the players who started in recent matches.
What we know from Ten Hag’s early days in charge is he doesn’t make changes for the sake it, especially once he finds a winning formula. He is also a quick learner and expects his players to learn from their mistakes or sit on the bench - as seen with Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw.
I think Ten Hag will look for fresher legs in the Europa League on Thursday night and Casemiro will get his first start as a Manchester United player.
The Brazil international has great experience playing against Real Sociedad from his time in Spain, and we don’t want McTominay getting too comfortable, do we? 😉
Casemiro has made substitute appearances in each of our last three games and will no doubt be eager to build on those minutes.

We will have coverage from Ten Hag’s press conference on the blog later this morning.
